A timeline of my journey as a climate advocate π£
1980s-90s
Climate activist in training
I grew up in a rural, agricultural area on a gravel road. The property was wooded, with a creek running through it. I climbed the trees, learned the flora and fauna, and walked the creek four seasons.
I was taught to respect Mother Nature and acknowledge the indigenous people who rightfully own the land and are still here to protect it.

My climate awakening
It was the moment in my life when I finally opened all my eyes, consciously acknowledged climate change as an emergency, and decided to live differently.
While the world around me (California wildfires) and inside me (diagnosed with an inflammatory autoimmune disease) burned, it became clear that I needed to actively adapt, play my part to mitigate our harm, and build resilience.
